Retail Leasing Manager

RETS Associates is recruiting for a Retail Leasing Manager to oversee leasing activities for a roughly 8 asset retail portfolio in Southern California. This role is responsible for identifying, negotiating, and securing leases with high-quality tenants while maximizing occupancy and revenue. The ideal candidate has strong market knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of executing leasing strategies that enhance property value.Office is in Newport Beach. This person can be located in LA or OC with ability to visit centers.Responsibilities: Develop and implement leasing strategies to attract and retain tenants. Identify target tenants that align with the property's positioning and market demand. Cultivate relationships with national, regional, and local retailers to generate leasing opportunities. Conduct market research to identify potential tenants and emerging retail trends. Monitor market conditions, rental rates, and competitor properties to adjust leasing strategies. Work with property management and marketing teams to enhance tenant mix and shopping center appeal. Qualifications: 2-6 years of retail leasing experience with a commercial real estate firm, tenant rep, or retail landlord. Strong negotiation and deal-making abilities. Excellent understanding of lease structures, CAM charges, and retail tenant requirements.
