In this role, you'll work closely with clients by providing strategic guidance and empowering them with the knowledge they need to make informed legal decisions. A successful applicant should have experience in intellectual property law and be passionate about using technology to reduce the cost so that more people can obtain the legal services they need to help them better their lives.What You'll DoConduct and review trademark searches and provide strategic advice and risk analyses.Advise clients on the registrability and strength of their marks.File a high volume of trademark applications at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.Respond to Office actions.Assist senior trademark attorneys with their caseloads.Increase access to the law by helping small businesses register trademarks and spend more time giving legal advice than powering through administrative minutiae.Contribute to Swyft Legal's mission and help us strategically grow in our efforts to give more people access to legal services as we expand our services.What You'll NeedLicense to practice law in Arizona or Washington DC0-5 years of legal experienceExperience in intellectual property lawPassion for professional ethicsStrong organizational skills with the ability to clearly explain legal concepts to non-attorneys and clientsExcellent written and verbal communicationStrong computer skillsA proactive, self-motivated mindset, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environmentPatent bar license or license-eligible is a plusBenefitsEligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance on the first day of employment100% employer-covered medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee-only plans401(k) w/ company matchCompany-issued laptop + Home office stipendCompetitive Paid Time OffRemote-friendly Work Model with office option in HoustonParental LeaveCasual Dress CodeFree Branded SWAGHealthy Snacks in the OfficeCompany EventsPeer recognition and rewards with Bonusly
