This position is responsible for enforcing access control, screening guests, protecting venue assets, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees while upholding Elite Defense's professional standards.Join our mission to represent the New Era of Excellence in event security.RequirementsEssential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in event setup, access control, and overall event-day execution. Screen guests and staff using metal detectors, bag checks, and wristband or credential verification. Monitor crowd flow and respond promptly to disturbances, ensuring a safe environment. Provide clear and courteous directions and assistance to guests. Maintain awareness of surroundings to prevent and respond to potential security breaches. Escort disruptive or unauthorized individuals when necessary, maintaining professionalism and discretion. Follow all post orders, event policies, and client instructions with accuracy and integrity. Deliver exceptional customer service and represent the Elite Defense brand with professionalism. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid BSIS security officer license/certification as required by local laws. Previous experience in security or a related field preferred. Strong observational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Basic computer skills for report writing and access control systems. Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond to emergencies. Vision correctable to 20/20. Ability to distinguish between standard colors. Capable of hearing ordinary conversation at twenty (20) feet and whispered conversation at ten (10) feet, with each ear (use of hearing aids or other devices is permissible). Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language. Physical Requirements: Able to perform normal or emergency duties requiring moderate to strenuous physical exertions, such as: Standing, sitting, or walking for an entire shift. Climbing stairs and ladders. Lifting or carrying objects weighing up to thirty (30) pounds. Able to open and close latches, zippers, doors, fences/gates, and screw caps. Running, jogging, or speed walking short distances. Reaching above the head. Bending to the floor. Working Conditions: The role may require sitting, standing or walking for extended periods.
