Roles & ResponsibilitiesAid in managing site safety and environmental programs (Chemical Hygiene, Biological Safety, Fire Safety). Manage investigations of accidents and work-related injuries or illnesses, maintain OSHA 300 Logs, and follow up on Workers' Compensation cases. Oversee the site's Ergonomics Program, including evaluations and follow-up activities. Assist in managing the EHS Training Program, maintain the training database, and provide limited training. Review and update written safety and environmental programs including SOPs and Work Instructions. Schedule and participate in quarterly Safety Council meetings and produce meeting minutes. Conduct laboratory evaluations to ensure regulatory compliance and report activities. Coordinate and document monthly safety equipment inspections (eye washes, emergency showers, fire extinguishers). Conduct quarterly site inspections, document findings, and follow up as necessary. Ensure all equipment and areas have the correct warning signs and labels. Stay informed on compliance requirements and participate in relevant training. Implement safety awareness programs and participate in departmental safety inspections. Update and maintain EHS databases, track metrics, and prepare monthly reports. Perform other related duties as required. Experience Required Experience working within a biotech or laboratory setting in a safety role. Experience or broad knowledge of EHS programs. Skills & Certifications Ability to take direction routinely. Strong communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance requirements. Proficiency in maintaining safety records and databases. Capability to conduct training and evaluations. Eligibilities & qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field. Full-time position, 40 hours per week. Onsite work only. Maximum billing rate: $47/hr. Daily work hour schedule determined upon hire.
