Specialty Consultants is recruiting on behalf of our client to fill a Regional Director role overseeing a Michigan-based affordable housing portfolio.This role manages properties across the Detroit and Kalamazoo markets, including Permanent Supportive Housing communities. The ideal candidate is an experienced affordable housing leader who is mission-driven, comfortable working with complex resident populations, and confident managing multi-site LIHTC portfolios.Responsibilities:Oversee operational, financial, and compliance performance of a multi-site affordable housing portfolioProvide hands-on leadership to on-site teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance managementEnsure compliance with LIHTC and other applicable housing programsLead budgeting, financial reviews, and variance managementSupport property takeovers, lease-ups, and ongoing portfolio growthQualifications:Progressive property or portfolio management experienceLIHTC experienceMulti-site supervisory experience requiredStrong understanding of affordable housing compliance and financialsExperience with Permanent Supportive Housing and/or high-needs resident populations preferredFamiliarity with MSHDA and Michigan housing programs is a plusAbility to travel within Michigan (mostly day trips; mileage reimbursed)Highlights:Fully integrated owner/operator environmentDirect access to senior leadership with a short decision-making chainOpportunity to help shape policies and procedures during a period of growthMission-driven organization focused on long-term community impact
