Inspects rooms and common areas, including grounds and exterior common areas, for cleanliness.Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action. Perform inventories to ensure proper par levels are consistently maintained. Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignmentsAdvises manager, desk clerk, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancyMotivates team members and resolves any issues that occur on the jobIssues supplies and equipment to workersQUALIFICATIONS FOR A HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISORPossess a good command of the English language (bi-lingual is a plus) and ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate with guestsThorough knowledge of hotel servicesMust have professional image and personality exuding confidence and leadership skillsAbility to focus attention to details and be able to organize, prioritize and follow upAbility to maintain confidentiality and security of all guests and general hotel informationAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if necessaryWork experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role.Excellent organizational and team management skillsAbility to occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. and perform general cleaning tasks including bending, kneeling, reaching, and being on your feet for an entire shiftCustomer Service: Responds promptly to customer needs, requests for service and assistance.
