ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet guests warmly and provide them with helpful information about ski and snowboard equipment rentals. Assist guests in selecting the right equipment based on their skill level, size, and needs. Ensure proper fitting of boots, skis, and snowboards for guest comfort and safety. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the rental shop. Explain rental agreements and policies to guests, ensuring they understand their responsibilities. Inspect returned equipment for damage, wear, or improper use, and process returns efficiently. Clean, tune, and prepare rental equipment to ensure it's in excellent working condition. Restock, organize, and prepare rental inventory for the next guest. Communicate any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate department. Assist with the end-of-day cleaning and closing procedures, ensuring the rental area is prepared for the next shift. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:This description highlights the key responsibilities, but additional tasks may be assigned as necessary. As the ski area evolves, responsibilities may shift, requiring flexibility and willingness to take on new duties.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Friendly, patient, and outgoing with a passion for guest service. A positive attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Organized, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple tasks at once. Open-minded and eager to learn new skills, especially about winter sports equipment. Team player who communicates well with both guests and coworkers. Professional appearance and demeanor. Enjoys working outdoors and in the ski industry. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS: Previous experience in a customer service role or rental shop is a plus. Basic knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment, or a willingness to learn. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively and solve problems quickly. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 16 years of age. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a dynamic, sometimes fast-paced environment.
