In this role, the successful candidate will perform truck, auto, and equipment repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. This is a fabulous opportunity for a knowledgeable, hardworking Mechanic to apply his or her skills in a company that offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.*Key Responsibilities** Perform required repairs on Gas and Diesel trucks and equipment, including engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, 12v electrical/computer, routine maintenance, trailers, etc.* Conduct regular preventative maintenance on commercial vehicles, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes* Ensure compliance with all state and federal trucking regulations.* Collaborate with the repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs* Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks* Prepare and update records on service work conducted on vehicles.* Ability to work with others in a garage environment.* Maintain cleanliness in the shop area*Skill Requirements** Knowledge and experience with Ford Vehicles a plus. Our fleet is primarily Ford F150s and Ford Super Duty trucks.* 5+ years’ experience as a Mechanic (Diesel experience preferred)* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to determine the source of malfunction and resolution.* CDL license a plus* Small engine repair knowledge a plus* Ability to pass a background check and drug test* ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Diesel Certification a plus.* Willingness and capacity to take on increased responsibilities, training and certifications* Microsoft Applications*Physical Demands*Work is medium to heavy in nature. You must be able to safely lift 50 lb. - 75 lb. occasionally. Job requires excellent hand and finger dexterity. *EXPERIENCE USING THE FOLLOWING TOOLS:* Electronic diagnostic equipment, lifts, jacks, cutting torches, oversized tools, grinders, air compressors, and associated pneumatic tools.
