Our client, a leading name in the mechanical services and distribution industry, is looking for an AR & Collections Representative to join their accounting team. As an AR & Collections Representative, you'll play a key role in managing customer accounts, processing payments, and maintaining financial accuracy. Overview of the AR & Collections Representative: Actively follow up on past-due accounts through direct outreach to account holders to ensure timely resolution and payment. Process credit card and ACH transactions using an approved third-party payment platform. Review and release sales orders in accordance with established company credit policies. Partner with customers and internal teams to resolve accounts receivable issues, including short payments, deductions, and reconciliation discrepancies. Establish and maintain full-cycle job accounts in line with company procedures and compliance standards. Prepare and submit lien waivers and credit reference documents as required. Provide backup support for general A/R activities, including deposit processing, credit application review, and data entry. Accurately apply incoming payments and maintain up-to-date records of cash applications. Deliver high-quality customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions. Preferred Qualifications for the AR & Collections Representative: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or equivalent experience At least 2 years of accounts receivable or credit experience Solid understanding of standard accounting procedures and reconciliation practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Experience with Epicor P21 ERP is a plus Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively The AR & Collections Representative will work closely with a variety of departments and customers to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions. This is a full-time, on-site role in South Seattle's SoDo district-ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
