Experience the challenges, rewards and opportunity of working for one of the world’s largest providers of products and services to the global energy industry.Overview:Under broad discretion, this senior compliance counsel role will report to either the Western Hemisphere Compliance Manager or the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer. As a collaborative leader among the Global Ethics & Compliance team, the successful candidate will have substantial expertise in compliance processes and investigations and will be responsible for advising the company concerning a variety of complex legal issues related to compliance and investigations.Responsibilities include:Undertaking a wide range of responsibilities, primarily involving the Company’s Code of Business Conduct (COBC) and compliance policiesConducting internal investigations, including formulating investigation strategies, analyzing evidence, and conducting investigatory interviewsParticipating in compliance reviews (audits) and risk assessmentsEvaluating and recommending process enhancements to drive complianceAssisting with special projects, benchmarking research, legal initiatives, and other administrative dutiesRequirements:Licensed to practice law in the US, a J.D. or L.L.M. is required5+ years legal experience in compliance, either as outside counsel or in-house counselA Bachelors degree is required, while a Masters degree is preferredWilling to travel internationallyPreferred Qualifications:Spanish and/or Arabic language skillsOilfield experienceBoth in-house and outside counsel experienceCandidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher-level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
