This position will support senior bankers across all sectors and will work on a variety of transactions including M&A, leveraged finance, public equities and other advisory services.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:As a Vice President in the Technology Group, you will rapidly assume significant responsibilities related to pitching for and executing advisory and capital markets transactions for a broad group of public and private clients. These responsibilities will include the following:Preparing and participating in the delivery of client presentationsCompiling a variety of financial analyses such as valuation, M&A scenarios, and three statement operational modelsAnalyzing business plans and participating in due diligence sessionsDrafting private and public marketing materials such as offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, and S-1sParticipating actively in drafting sessionsMentoring analysts in the Technology GroupThese responsibilities afford direct and active interaction with the senior executive management teams of our clients as well as senior bankers at Jefferies. xhmxlyz Associates in the Global Technology Group are expected to attend and participate in client meetings and contribute to building and maintaining client relationships.REQUIRED BACKGROUND:Either (i) an MBA and investment banking experience; or (ii) an undergraduate degree and 6+ years of investment banking experienceStrong technical, written and verbal communication skillsStrong valuation skills and significant valuation experienceLive in NYC or willing to relocateFamiliarity with investment banking transaction processesAbility to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneouslyResourceful self-starter, able to work autonomously and as team playerHelpful but not required: A background in technology, such as technology banking or consulting, or an undergraduate degree and/or work experience in a technology/engineering field
