The ideal candidate will be passionate about protecting clients’ rights in criminal proceedings while also effectively handling injury claims. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in criminal proceedings (state and/or federal) and personal injury claims (car accidents, workplace injuries, premises liability, etc.)Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefsConduct client consultations, evaluate cases, and advise on legal optionsDevelop strategies through legal research and case investigationNegotiate plea agreements and settlements with opposing counsel and insurersRepresent clients at depositions, mediations, hearings, pre-trials, and trialsMaintain strong client communication and manage expectationsCollaborate with paralegals, assistants, and fellow attorneys to ensure effective case managementQualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolLicensed and in good standing in Texas (MO, KS, IL a plus)1-3 years of experience (criminal law and/or personal injury strongly preferred)Strong litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skillsExcellent written xhmxlyz and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to manage a high-volume and diverse caseload independentlyCommitment to client advocacy and ethical legal practiceBenefits & PerksCompetitive salary with performance-based bonusesPaid holidays and PTO401(k) with matchingHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceProfessional development and advancement opportunitiesSupportive, collaborative team cultureModern co-working space with community kitchen (breakfast, lunch, snacks provided)ScheduleFull-time, Monday–FridayNo weekends (on-call availability applies for criminal cases)
