Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations while advancing your career within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in corporate tax, general ledger management, and financial analysis, ensuring accuracy and compliance across accounting processes. Responsibilities: - Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with regulations and accuracy. - Manage sales tax filings and resolve discrepancies promptly. - Record and reconcile journal entries for accurate financial reporting. - Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are up to date. - Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage accounting tasks efficiently. - Collaborate with internal teams to analyze financial data and prepare reports. - Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. - Provide support during audits and resolve any identified issues. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and analysis. - Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and practices. - Proficiency in managing general ledger and journal entries. - Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online. - Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
