Job Description: The Phlebotomist II Float collects quality blood specimens and prepares them for laboratory testing while following established procedures. This role provides direct patient interaction, ensuring a professional and trustworthy environment while demonstrating strong phlebotomy skills. The position supports multiple locations based on business needs and requires strong customer service, adaptability, and adherence to confidentiality and accuracy standards. Requirement/Must Have: Ability to perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing. Ability to verify patient demographics and signatures to ensure labeling accuracy. Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric. Flexibility for weekends, holidays, on-call, overtime, and location changes. Reliable transportation and valid driver license, if applicable. Ability to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice. Ability to make decisions following established procedures. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting. Strong customer focus and communication skills. Ability to maintain required records and documentation. Ability to maintain a safe and professional environment. Ability to adhere to company policies, procedures, and professional standards. Experience: One to three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Two years of experience in a patient service center preferred. Customer service experience in retail or service environments strongly preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience required. Responsibilities: Perform accurate daily activities under supervisor direction. Maintain a safe and professional work environment. Collect and process specimens following established procedures. Verify patient demographic information and labeling accuracy. Maintain documentation and records as required. Promote a positive image to patients, employees, and the public. Should Have: Ability to communicate openly and work collaboratively with peers, supervisors, and patients. Ability to adapt to changes and support operational needs efficiently. Skills: Strong phlebotomy technique across all patient ages. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to prioritize and work in a high-volume setting. Ability to travel between locations as needed. Qualification And Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in select states).
