Responsibilities: - Process weekly payments including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card transactions. - Manage vendor accounts, including maintaining W-9s and issuing 1099 forms. - Ensure accurate coding of all expenses and provide guidance to team members on proper procedures. - Handle monthly closing tasks for accounts payable, including accrual entries and module closures. - Prepare journal entries for posting to the general ledger and ensure reconciliation of accounts. - Maintain an organized system of accounting records and support inventory-related financial tasks. - Collaborate with auditors by providing required financial documentation and reports. - Ensure the accuracy of accounts payable aging and address discrepancies promptly. - Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve payment inquiries and maintain strong relationships. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable functions, including payment processing and invoice coding. - Familiarity with issuing 1099 forms and maintaining vendor records. - Strong knowledge of general ledger entries and account reconciliations. - Proficiency in utilizing accounting software and Excel for financial tasks. - Ability to manage monthly closing procedures and ensure accurate financial reporting. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records. - Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal team members. - Experience supporting audits by providing relevant financial information and documentation.
