Senior Software Project Manager

Job Description: Pay Range: $80hr - $100hr The Software Project Manager will be responsible for managing the full software development lifecycle for medical device software projects, ensuring timely delivery, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional alignment across multiple teams. Responsibilities: Plan, track, and oversee software project activities from requirements gathering to design, development, testing, validation, documentation, and release. Facilitate communication and collaboration among inter- and intra-project teams to ensure successful project execution. Develop detailed project schedules, set milestones, allocate resources, monitor progress, and mitigate risks proactively. Provide transparent communication on project status, critical paths, and potential risks to stakeholders and leadership. Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, reporting on progress, challenges, and resolutions. Ensure all deliverables adhere to regulatory and quality system standards, including IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820. Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements aligned with best practices in agile, waterfall, or hybrid methodologies. Track project budgets, forecasts, and resources to ensure projects remain within scope and budget. Qualification And Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 5 years of project management experience in software development, with at least 2 3 years in the medical device or robotics domain. Proven experience leading software projects for medical devices, preferably surgical robotics. Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid. Familiarity with surgical robotic platforms, control software, hardware integration, and surgical workflows. In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and FDA regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred. Experience using project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, and Confluence.
