Job Description:

Pay Range: $80hr - $100hr
  • The Software Project Manager will be responsible for managing the full software development lifecycle for medical device software projects, ensuring timely delivery, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional alignment across multiple teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, track, and oversee software project activities from requirements gathering to design, development, testing, validation, documentation, and release.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among inter- and intra-project teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, set milestones, allocate resources, monitor progress, and mitigate risks proactively.
  • Provide transparent communication on project status, critical paths, and potential risks to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, reporting on progress, challenges, and resolutions.
  • Ensure all deliverables adhere to regulatory and quality system standards, including IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements aligned with best practices in agile, waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
  • Track project budgets, forecasts, and resources to ensure projects remain within scope and budget.
Qualification And Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in software development, with at least 2-3 years in the medical device or robotics domain.
  • Proven experience leading software projects for medical devices, preferably surgical robotics.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid.
  • Familiarity with surgical robotic platforms, control software, hardware integration, and surgical workflows.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and FDA regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience using project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, and Confluence.
