Job description:We are looking for a skilled litigation paralegal to join our team. You will be responsible for the coordination of all the details before, during and after trial. The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process including conducting interviews, legal research, throughout the discovery process, document filing and preparing for and attending trials.Responsibilities:Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessmentsDraft pleadings, motions and file them with the courtPerform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics etc.)Maintain pleadings and discovery indexesOrganize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices for pleadings, depositions and trialAid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requestsMaintain regular contact with clients, providing updates on caseProvide assistance with liens and post settlement proceduresSkills:Prior working experience as a personal injury paralegalApplicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etcHighly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong writing and communication skills along with attention to detailExtensive computer and database expertiseParalegal associates degree or other relevant certificationQualifications:Experience as a legal secretary or assistant or paralegalBachelor"s degree or Paralegal certificateEmployment Type: Full-Time
