Must be authorized to work in the U.S. to be considered for this position.Growing Chicago firm in the West Loop area seeking a Personal Injury Paralegal in the litigation department. Position provides heavy client contact and the ability to hone litigation skills. All qualified candidates are encouraged to applyCompensation:$55,000 - $70,000 yearlyResponsibilities:PleadingsDraft pleadings, summons, complaints, notices of filings, notices of motion, and supporting affidavits.Prepare draft court orders.E-file pleadings with the court.Calendar hearing dates and filing deadlines.Organize case files.DiscoveryDraft interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admissions, and other discovery.Client contact to develop responses and other requests.Calendar discovery deadlines.Organize, review, and analyze documents for production.Prepare deposition summaries.Pre-TrialPrepare and issue subpoenas.Manage scheduling and communication for depositions.TrialOrganize exhibits, documents, and evidence.Prepare and issue subpoenas.Act as liaison between clients, witnesses, experts, and the trial team.Be the legal writer of the department.Qualifications:Must be authorized to work in the U.S. to be considered for this position.Critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills are essential.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook is a must.Bachelor's degree holders will be given preference, although paralegal certification is desirable.Prior paralegal experience of two years is preferred.About CompanyBenefits:Competitive salary and bonus structure, commensurate with experience and performance.Comprehensive benefits package, including health/dental/vision insurance, retirement plans, profit sharing, and paid time off.Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within a rapidly growing firm.Access to cutting-edge legal technologies and resources to support your practice and enhance efficiency.Supportive work environment with a collaborative team culture.Work-life balance initiatives and flexible scheduling options.
