Senior Account Manager - B2B Media SalesAbout the RoleWe are dedicated to providing the best daily business experience for our readers while also delivering innovative, tailored marketing solutions for our advertising partners. We take pride in crafting campaigns that drive results without compromising the integrity of our brand and voice.We are expanding our revenue organization with the launch of a dedicated Account Management team. This team will focus on prospecting, qualifying, and presenting our value proposition to potential clients. We are looking for experienced Senior Account Managers with a strong background in B2B media sales who can develop new business opportunities and grow existing accounts. This role will focus on various engineering verticals, including Design Engineering, Robotics, Medical Devices, Electrical Engineering, Packaging OEM, Automation, and Controls.If you have a passion for marketing strategies, digital media, and helping clients build comprehensive advertising programs across print and online channels, this could be the perfect opportunity for you While an engineering background is not required, an interest in learning about technical industries is a plus.What You'll Be Doing:Prospecting, pitching, and closing new partnerships through a mix of inbound and outbound efforts.Managing the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying leads, developing strategic proposals, pitching products, negotiating, and closing deals.Building and maintaining strong client relationships by upselling and renewing existing accounts.Strategically managing your own book of business, including account prioritization, organization, and revenue forecasting.Ensuring accurate tracking of customer interactions, pipeline data, and sales performance.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to share insights, best practices, and strategies to achieve collective goals.Overseeing client advertising campaigns from start to finish, ensuring seamless execution and reporting on performance metrics.Serving as a key point of contact for assigned brands, handling inbound inquiries, and providing timely responses.Conducting outbound outreach to targeted vertical markets, working closely with brand leaders to create cross-vertical proposals.Coordinating with internal teams, including accounting, to manage invoicing and billing matters.Participating in industry events and client meetings, requiring approximately 15-20% travel.What We're Looking For:3-5 years of experience in a customer-facing role with at least 2-3 years of full-cycle sales experience.Experience in media, marketing, and advertising is preferred.Strong ability to deliver engaging client presentations and a solid understanding of sales performance metrics.Experience selling digital advertising solutions, including content marketing, webinars, newsletters, and lead generation services.Confidence in selling face-to-face at industry events and client meetings.Deep understanding of the sales process, from prospecting and outreach to closing and retention.Ability to forecast, track, and report on sales performance and meet quarterly targets.Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.A bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field (preferred but not required).What We Offer:Competitive salary + commission structure.Hybrid work environment - with two in-office days per week in Chicago (overnight stays available for candidates in surrounding areas).Premium medical, dental, and vision plans - choose what fits your needs.Fully vested 401(k) match to help you plan for your future.Generous paid time off including vacation, sick days, flexible holidays, and parental leave.A supportive, dynamic, and collaborative team environment.Opportunities to work in a fast-growing company consistently recognized as a top workplace.If you're an ambitious, energetic sales professional with a passion for digital marketing and a track record of success, we'd love to hear from youHow to Apply:Interested candidates should submit their resume and a brief cover letter outlining their relevant experience and why they're excited about this opportunity.We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
