Paralegal - General Liability

Zurich North America is currently hiring a General Liability Paralegal for its Staff Legal Office in Boston, MA. Their work will be in support of moderate to complex Liability litigation cases (e.g. case work, research, subpoenas, etc.). The preferred candidate will demonstrate experience with General Liability.In this role you will be responsible for:Providing legal support to two attorneys who practice in Rhode Island, New Hampshire, & Massachusetts.Drafting legal pleadings, correspondence, and other documents as directedProviding legal support such as legal and documentary researchMonitoring case schedules and filing deadlinesConducting interviews, summarizing depositions, medical recordsPreparing discovery requests and responsesAssisting in trial preparation Responding to inquiries from and interacts with customers, clients, counsel, and witnessesKeeping track of billable hoursOrganizing and maintaining case files and documentation, electronicallyContributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed Basic Qualifications: Associate Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Legal or Legal Support areaORZurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Legal or Legal Support areaANDExperience conducting electronic database researchExperience drafting legal documents, correspondence, and/or pleadings Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors DegreeDefense experienceInsurance industry experienceAbility to effectively conduct electronic database research, including WestLaw and NILSMicrosoft Office skillsAs a condition of employment at Zurich, employees must adhere to our COVID-related health and safety protocols (Apply with Get.It including, without limitation, a requirement that employees attest as to their vaccination status with a YES/NO, and upload proof of vaccination status, or negative COVID test results when allowable, to a third-party vendor.
