Director & Actuary (Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or Remote - WFH

How You'll Contribute: As a Director & Actuary, you'll play a key role in overseeing variable annuities and a flagship registered-indexed-linked-annuity product. You'll be part of the Liability Analysis and Services team, providing critical production and analysis to support hedging-related reporting, attribution, and strategy development. In This Role, You Will: - Lead hedging analysis, including sensitivity testing, attribution, and forward-looking estimation for variable annuities and registered-indexed-linked-annuity products.- Conduct in-depth analysis to assess hedge strategy performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend innovative solutions.- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure consistency in production processes, deliverable schedules, assumptions, and modeling methodologies.- Stay informed on regulatory and reporting changes to enhance compliance and efficiency.- Work closely with the model development team to request, document, and approve model updates, continuously improving processes for greater accuracy and efficiency.- Partner with the Leader of Hedging Liability Analysis to prioritize, plan, and execute key projects that drive business success.What We're Looking For: - Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, or Finance.- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation required; FSA designation preferred.- Strong computing and programming skills; Python experience preferred.- Experience with actuarial modeling software, with preference for PathWise.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).- Strong project management skills with keen attention to detail and process optimization.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to develop solutions for complex challenges.- Adaptability to changing business priorities and deadlines.
