As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer/Middleware Engineer, you will lead the design and development of full-stack software components for an advanced robotic system, playing a key role in transforming research prototypes into commercialized products. You will collaborate across departments, contributing to both front-end and back-end software components, ensuring seamless system functionality and user interaction. Your contributions will be integral to delivering innovative and scalable solutions in robotics space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-Stack Development: Design and develop front-end user interfaces and back-end systems for robotic platforms, ensuring smooth integration between hardware and software components.
  • User Interface (UI) Development: Work with the UI team to integrate control systems for seamless human-robot interaction and data visualization.
  • Database Management: Manage database architecture to handle robotic system data and ensure efficient back-end structure for data processing and storage.
  • Robotics Systems Development: Participate in and implement modules defined by the Lead Robotics Engineer, including motor control, sensors, localization, and autonomous navigation systems.
  • Middleware Development: Participate in design and development of middleware that ensures effective communication between robotic hardware, sensors, and software modules.
  • Algorithm Integration: Participate in developing and integrating algorithms for computer vision, object detection/avoidance, path planning, and localization.
  • Testing & Debugging: Test, debug, and refine software to meet high standards of performance and reliability in real-world robotic environments.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and adhere to best practices for code quality, safety, and industry compliance.

Required Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Robotics
  • Full-Stack Development: Expertise in both back-end (e.g., Python, C++, Java) and front-end development (e.g., React, Angular) with experience in integrating full-stack solutions.
  • Database Management: Proficiency in managing databases and designing back-end architecture for data handling in robotics applications.
  • UI/UX Design: Experience developing and integrating user interfaces for controlling robotics systems.
  • System Integration: Experience integrating hardware with software in robotics systems.

Preferred Experience:

  • Robotics Systems Expertise: Strong experience in the design and development of robotics systems, including motor control, sensor integration, path planning, and navigation.
  • Middleware & ROS: Experience with middleware development for robotic platforms and proficiency with Robot Operating System (ROS).
  • AI/Machine Learning: Experience integrating AI-driven algorithms, such as computer vision and machine learning, into robotics systems.

Non-Technical Skills:

  • Independent & Self-Disciplined: Capable of working autonomously with strong organizational skills and accountability.
  • Managerial Experience: Proven ability to manage projects, set priorities, and oversee deliverables from start to finish.
  • Coordination Skills: Experience working with and coordinating freelancers, vendors, and manufacturers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Adaptability & Innovation: Passion for working in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment, with a focus on learning and adapting to new technologies.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, capable of addressing complex challenges in robotics development.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Commitment to precision and accuracy in all phases of development, from design to final deployment.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and AI teams.
