Star Choices, Inc. is a dedicated non-profit service provider with over 30 years of experience in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to empower people to find their joy and live the life they choose.

We are seeking caring, responsible individuals to serve as Host Home Providers for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Host Homes offer a family-like setting for adults who need assistance and guidance in daily life.

A Host Home Provider acts as an Independent Contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized support and care to individuals in a home setting.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment that promotes independence.
  • Assist with daily living activities and personal care as needed.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with individuals to enhance their quality of life.
  • Collaborate with team members to create individualized care plans.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times.
  • Participate in development opportunities to improve service delivery.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals served

Qualifications

· 21 years old or older

· Proof of homeownership, such as a current mortgage statement or home deed

· Homeowner's, renter's, or personal property insurance

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with valid insurance

· Ability to pass criminal background and registry checks, as well as a drug screen

· Homes with children aged 12 or under in the home must pass a background check

· A private room available in your home

· A safe and secure environment

A per diem and room and board are received monthly. Star Choices provides ongoing development and support from the team.
