The HR Coordinator is a key member of the WR Immigration headquarters team and plays an important role in many areas related to different stages of the employee life cycle from hiring through offboarding. Responsibilities cover a range of subjects, including recruiting, performance management, and payroll support, among others. This employee reports directly to the Director of Human Resources. This is a full-time, nonexempt role requiring periodic in-office presence in our Santa Monica office. Candidates must be local to the Los Angeles area and able to work according to Pacific Time hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Support firm-wide year-end performance review process.
  • Monitor 90-day evaluations for new hires.
  • Perform a variety of payroll-related tasks, such as:
  • Adjusting employee pay rate following promotions/raises.
  • Completing tax registrations for new jurisdictions with remote employees.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting tax notices as they are received.
  • Overseeing delivery of W-2s to current and former employees.
  • Monitoring benefits reports on a monthly basis for any new enrollments/changes to add to payroll.

  • Assists as necessary with the onboarding and offboarding processes ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed.

  • Provides administrative support throughout the recruiting process
  • Organizes and maintains associate records and files with their respective personal details, employment history, benefits information, and all other associate-related data within the HR database to maintain data integrity and ensure employment compliance.
  • Completes regular audits of HR-related data.
  • Performs various administrative tasks to support the HR department.
  • Assists in the preparation of HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and strategic planning. This may involve collecting and analyzing data related to recruitment, turnover, workforce demographics, total rewards, and other HR metrics.
  • Assists with the maintenance of HR platforms and intranet.
  • Supports associates and managers with routine, daily Human Resources questions, needs, and inquiries.
  • Escalates sensitive matters to HR stakeholders while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
  • Periodically assign compliance-related training.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the WR Management team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (required) with strong academic background
  • 2-5 years of general HR experience required, including involvement with the onboarding process
  • Experience in law and/or business immigration preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven organization and time management capabilities
  • Ability to successfully navigate multiple shifting priorities at any given time
