Company:Qualcomm IncorporatedJob Area:Legal Group, Legal Group > Government AffairsGeneral Summary:Qualcomm Government Affairs ("GA") is responsible for advancing policy, legal, and business goals through educating government, third-party engagement, coalition building and third-party advocacy. This position will provide day-to-day support for the San Diego-based GA team.Responsibilities:In-office support for day-to-day administrative team activities, e.g., delivering briefing books, hosting onsite delegations, shipping goods to/from the DC office, minor purchases, procuring lunches for meetings, coordinating with facilities, etc.Support for onsite delegation visits, including coordination of technology demos; working with administrative staff to ensure logistics coordination; and preparing presentation materialsGA process execution, such as tracking external speakerships and publications; tracking of key QC activities such as exec meetings with government officials; GA materials organization (talking points, etc.)Attend select meetings, take and disseminate notes, follow up on action itemsPrepare executive briefing material, including briefing books, white papers, and event prep documents. Such material to include preparing biographies of attendees to upcoming meetings; researching past legislation; pulling public information such as congressional memos; etc.Copywriting / editing / drafting talking points / proofreadingDevelop and refine Powerpoint presentations, including content creation and designConduct in-depth research and analysis on emerging technologies and public policy, including AI, XR, and telecommunicationsSupport executive conference attendance, including scheduling executive bilateral meetings; preparing detailed itinerariesSkills & Requirements:Candidate resumes should identify strong experience in Powerpoint development explicitly and be prepared to provide work samples during interviews. Marketing or creative agency experience a plus.In addition to Powerpoint, strong skills with other Microsoft Office products, including MSWord, Excel, Sharepoint, and Outlook are requiredBachelor's degree in Political Science or other relevant field requiredThe ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be detail-oriented and punctualQualcomm is a technology company. Familiarity/comfort with technical topics such as 5G/6G, semiconductors, and AI, a plus.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Government Affairs, Business, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Engineering, Legal, or related field.1+ year of Government Affairs, Communications, Industry Associations, or related work experience.Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
