We are seeking a responsible Administrative Assistant to assist our professional staff with our day-to-day operations on a part-time basis. We prefer 3 full days per week. Your job will be to provide clerical support to our professionals and coordinate daily administrative activities.
The Administrative Assistant should be highly organized, a problem-solver, and able to multitask with ease. Ultimately, a successful Administrative Assistant will be able to ensure our office procedures run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Manage phone calls and correspondence (email, letters, packages, etc.)
- Serves as first point of contact, greeting people entering the funeral home as well as answering phones in a professional manner, assisting callers with questions or directing to appropriate staff
- Input data for death certificates with a high level of accuracy
- Prepare funeral service materials
- Order office stationery and supplies
- Good communication skills
- General Clerical duties
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or relevant role
- Familiarity with office procedures and policies
- Funeral Home experience a plus
- Proficient using Microsoft Suite; ability and willingness to be trained on new software
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Problem-solving attitude with an eye for detail
