Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong ability to engage with customers, ensuring they have a positive shopping experience. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers, managing inventory, and contributing to the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting with their inquiries.
  • Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
  • Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to ensure the store is well-presented.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits to customers.
  • Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles.
  • Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory management and stock levels.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Exhibit strong phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in transactions.
  • Proficient in basic math skills for sales calculations and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Familiarity with supervising others is a plus but not required.
  • A willingness to learn about products and services offered in the store is essential.
