Entergy's Transmission Department
is responsible for planning, designing, constructing, maintaining and operating over 15,000 miles of transmission lines across the four-state territory.
Working in a team environment to assist engineers in day to day activities including but not limited to:
- Designing optimum T-Line solutions based on project scoping and site visits
- Utilizing design software to model surveyed field configurations
- Estimating project costs and ensuring material is properly ordered and staged
- Following and providing any necessary assistance on projects in construction
- Processing as-built documentation
- Participating in various meetings to support projects, department business, and safety
- Working on special projects to assist in improving grid reliability
- Responding to equipment failures
- Maintaining models and drawings
- Continuously improving practices through automation Some Travel may be required for the position
Education Requirements
- Seeking Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil engineering majors.
- Junior and Senior candidate with graduation dates of December 2026 and beyond preferred.
- Must be actively pursuing a bachelors, masters or doctorate degree as indicated above and at minimum classified as a sophomore or beyond.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
