The Behavior Technician implements skills acquisition and behavior reduction protocols utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with children with autism and similar disabilities in the home, community, and school settings. The behavior technician delivers interventions and collects data in accordance with the client's individualized treatment plan under the supervision of a behavior consultant in aba.

REPORTS TO: BCBA Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

o Implements 1:1 behavioral intervention with clients with autism utilizing a combination of intensive and natural environment teaching arrangements.

o Implements interventions meant to reduce maladaptive behaviors and teach skills that strengthen appropriate functional behaviors in their place.

o Implements skills acquisition targets aimed to teach language, communication, social skills, play skills, self-help, and pre-academic skills.

o Collects accurate data on all skills acquisition and behavior reduction targets and adheres to proper teaching, prompting, and error correction procedures.

o Ensures accuracy and timely submission of all session notes, timesheets, and all other required documentation.

o Communicates effectively with all members of the client's treatment team regarding client progress.

o Receives ongoing supervision and readily accepts feedback and direction from a BCBA supervisor.

o Engages in other work tasks as directed, such as creating client materials and assisting with client programming.

o Upholds client dignity and maintains a safe and organized therapeutic environment for clients.

o Maintains client confidentiality and protects Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with state law.

o Attends all required meetings and training as requested by ABAparaTI LLC.

BASIC AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

o Able to lift up to 40 pounds.

o Able to assume various postures for extended periods of time (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing).

o Willingness to work with clients who exhibit a variety of challenging behaviors.

o Able to give and receive detailed communication both verbally and in writing.

o Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

o Undergo and pass a criminal history check and a drug screening.

o Able to adhere to company policies and procedures and abide by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board's code of ethics.

o Able to complete all requirements to obtain/maintain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: High school Diploma
  • Language: Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • One year's experience providing ABA therapy is required
  • One year's experience working with children with special needs.

Additional Requirements

  • Current PA Child Abuse, Criminal, and FBI clearances.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between service locations.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Employment Type: We offer both part-time and full-time positions to accommodate different schedules and commitments.
