Quality Engineering Technician

Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with Process Engineers and Department Leads to assist in floor investigations for all process areas.
- Attends daily Quality Reject meeting for the prior 24 hours. Works with production to identify and resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
- Leads review of lamination plant sample rejects for SQNs to include review of related data. Reviews with Quality Engineer to determine corrective actions needed.
- Assists the Inspection team in making real-time quality calls. Educates graders on boundary levels for streaks & knitting pin holes.
- Manages the RMA process.
- Updates status of plant Quality Information as needed.
- Assists with ensuring nonconforming material is identified, controlled, and managed to completion.
- Assists with getting samples cut for Quality Auditor.
- Conducts weekly process audits of key process areas and provides data to Quality Specialist.
- Implements/monitors temporary containment actions as needed.
- Assists in releasing material from QH when needed.
- Performs grade changes & updates spreadsheet when needed.
- Adds weight and yards back to orders as needed in software system.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Sense of urgency when responding to issues
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects or issues simultaneously
- Able to prioritize and work independently
- Good written and oral communication skills
