The Senior Learning Solutions Designer is responsible for designing and developing high-impact, performance-driven learning solutions across multiple modalities. This role combines content development with project ownership to translate complex processes and subject matter into engaging, measurable learning experiences. Leverages creative tools such as video production, visual storytelling, gamification, and interactive simulations to produce branded, scalable learning content aligned with company priorities. Partners with Leads, Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure solutions are innovative, consistent with company standards, and embedded into the organization's culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and develops learning content across multiple modalities (e.g., eLearning, ILT, microlearning, blended, simulations). Supports development of change adoption materials (e.g., job aids, quick guides, FAQs, micro-videos). Ensures solutions are performance-focused, brand-aligned, and consistent with company standards.
  • Manages assigned instructional design projects from scoping through completion. May serve as a project lead, coordinating the work across teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure deliverables are accurate, timely, and meet quality standards. Escalates risks or gaps to leadership as needed. Uses learner analytics, usage data, and feedback to refine content and demonstrate impact.
  • Partners with SMEs and internal stakeholders (e.g., Operations, HR, Communications, Marketing, IT, etc.) to ensure content relevance, alignment, and adoption. Collaborates with cross-functional peers to ensure seamless integration of learning solutions into company platforms.
  • Applies advanced creative approaches, including video, storytelling, interactive simulations, gamification, and AI-enabled design tools, to enhance learner engagement. Researches and applies emerging practices to strengthen outcomes.
  • Participates in peer review cycles and supports leadership to ensure accuracy, consistency, and instructional effectiveness. Contributes to the development of templates, processes, and governance standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Adult Learning, Organizational Development, or a related field required; or a minimum of 5 years of recent, hands-on instructional design lifecycle experience in a corporate setting.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience serving as lead managing instructional design projects through the full design lifecycle.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in rapid content/eLearning development using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Microsoft Office Suite. Use of AI tools preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience facilitating in-person and virtual learning programs, including leadership development and role-based learning preferred.
  • Experience designing instructor-led program and supporting materials (facilitator scripts, participant guides, facilitator guides, written resource tools, etc.).
  • Proficiency in authoring, visual, and media design tools; strong understanding of LMS publishing requirements, including SCORM/xAPI.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse audiences, from front-line contributors to senior executives.
  • Applied knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design models, and learning science principles.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ATD, CPTD, Kirkpatrick, CPTM) preferred but not required.
  • Advanced knowledge of instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Agile) and adult learning principles, with proven application across multiple modalities (ILT, eLearning, microlearning, blended, simulations).
  • Advanced instructional design skills with proven application across multiple modalities (ILT, eLearning, microlearning, blended, simulations).
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled content development tools and their application to learning.
  • Strong creative skills in visual and media design, including video editing, animation, and storytelling.
  • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Rise, Captivate), video editing platforms (Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, After Effects), and visual design platforms (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Skilled in gamification and interactive learning design to drive learner motivation and retention.
  • Familiarity of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and ability to design inclusive content a plus.
  • Ability to evaluate learning effectiveness using data, feedback, and business metrics.
  • Strong project management skills, including workflow oversight, scheduling, and milestone tracking.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills; able to simplify complex concepts into engaging learning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence outcomes and align diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to mentor and coach junior team members to elevate capability and quality.
  • Innovative mindset with adaptability to emerging tools, methods, and creative strategies.
  • Ability to occasionally facilitate knowledge transfer or train-the-trainer sessions.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written preferred.

Compensation

The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $71, $82, Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

Additional Compensation

This position is eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus.
