We are seeking a
Membership Sales Manager
to oversee our sales operations, lead our team of Membership Associates, and drive the conversion of qualified leads into engaged founding members. This role will be central to building and maintaining a robust membership pipeline, ensuring the highest levels of service and execution across all prospective member touchpoints. The Membership Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving sales targets, overseeing all outreach and conversion activities, and ensuring seamless processes across CRM systems and membership operations. This position requires strong leadership, strategic pipeline management, and a hospitality-driven approach to sales.

The role reports directly to the
Membership Director
and manages the Membership Sales Associates.

Please note:
This role is based at Moss Studio, our pre-opening location at 500 Fifth Avenue. As we transition to our permanent space at 520 Fifth Avenue later this year, the role may evolve and expand. Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset will be essential as we grow.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
Requires flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and special events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Sales Leadership & Pipeline Management

  • Lead all prospective member outreach and conversion efforts, managing the full membership sales cycle from inquiry to acceptance.
  • Establish and track individual and team sales targets, ensuring consistent achievement of pipeline goals.
  • Conduct high-touch tours and meetings for high-value prospects, including Founding Members, VIPs, and referrals.
  • Oversee and support Membership Associates in their tour schedules, prospect calls, and follow-up strategies.
  • Analyze and report on lead generation, conversion metrics, and pipeline health using CRM systems (PeopleVine, HubSpot).
  • Identify and refine strategies to increase pipeline growth, including partnerships, referrals, and event-driven lead capture.

Team Management & Development

  • Directly supervise Membership Sales Associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure associates are equipped with resources and messaging to effectively communicate the Moss brand and offerings.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on sales excellence and member-first service.

CRM & Membership Operations

  • Ensure all member and prospect data is accurate, updated, and properly segmented within CRM platforms.
  • Monitor team-wide usage of CRM systems, enforcing best practices for data integrity and timely follow-ups.
  • Partner with the Membership Director to refine workflows, reporting templates, and performance dashboards.

Event Strategy & Conversion

  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and execute events that serve as strategic membership conversion opportunities.
  • Oversee pre-event preparation (guest lists, profiles, face sheets) and lead targeted follow-up strategies.
  • Represent the Membership team at Moss Studio activations, ensuring a strong sales presence and relationship-building focus.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Serve as a senior point of contact for prospective members and key introducers.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with Founding Members and VIPs to support retention and referral growth.
  • Uphold Moss's values across all sales interactions, ensuring discretion, professionalism, and hospitality-forward service.

Operational & Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Act as the key liaison between Membership Associates and the Membership Director.
  • Collaborate with operations, events, and hospitality teams to ensure prospective members experience a seamless and elevated journey.
  • Maintain a consistent on-site presence to provide leadership, coaching, and client-facing support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in membership sales, luxury hospitality, or private clubs, with proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and management experience, with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in CRM platforms (PeopleVine, HubSpot) and data-driven sales strategy.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to engage VIP and high-net-worth clientele in a discreet, professional manner.
  • Experience preparing reports, event briefs, and internal communications for senior leadership.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and energized by a fast-paced pre-opening environment

COMPENSATION:
The salary wage for this position is
$80,000 - $105,000 per year
, depending on experience.

CLASSIFICATION:
This is an
exempt, salaried position
. In accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), you are not eligible for overtime pay. Your compensation is intended to cover all hours required to fulfill the responsibilities of your role.
