  • Tuesdays: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): 4–8 hours (TBD)

Compensation: $50–$60 per hour (DOE)

About the Role:

An Upper East Side family is seeking a mature, proactive, and emotionally intelligent male mentor to work with their 16-year-old son who attends high school. The ideal candidate will serve as a steady role model and coach, helping him strengthen executive functioning skills, improve social awareness, and build healthy relationships with peers and adults.

This role combines structure, mentorship, and engagement — supporting the teen's personal growth while encouraging self-awareness, accountability, and empathy.

He enjoys being active but is not currently enrolled in any extracurriculars beyond therapy three times a week. He has a strong interest in sports (especially basketball) and music, and would benefit from someone who can help him discover and pursue activities aligned with those interests.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide reliable transportation to and from school, therapy, and activities.
  • Support with organization, time management, and follow-through on daily tasks.
  • Model and coach appropriate social behavior and communication, emphasizing boundaries and understanding cause and effect.
  • Reinforce positive choices and respectful interactions with others.
  • Offer consistency, structure, and accountability in a supportive way.
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding progress and goals.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Male role model with a confident, kind, and grounded presence.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching teens with ADHD, executive functioning challenges, or mild behavioral concerns.
  • Skilled at setting clear boundaries and addressing inappropriate language or behavior calmly and effectively.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, patience, and understanding of adolescent development.
  • Familiarity with or alignment to Jewish values and cultural awareness of a Jewish family preferred.
  • Background in education, youth mentorship, or coaching is a plus.
  • Reliable, organized, and capable of providing consistent structure and guidance.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
