Creosote Total Health is a growing, patient-centered primary care clinic in Tempe, Arizona, offering both traditional and naturopathic medical care. Our team focuses on providing compassionate, whole-person healthcare, including hormone replacement therapy, PRP and weight loss treatments, IV Therapy, lab services, and chronic care management.

We're seeking a skilled and dependable Medical Assistant to join our team and support our providers in delivering exceptional patient care. Must be a self starter, dependable and reliable.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and room patients, take accurate vitals, and document in the EHR
  • Perform blood draws and prepare specimens for lab processing
  • Assist with procedures and treatments (PRP, hormone therapy, injections, etc.)
  • Process medication refills and prescription prior authorizations
  • Coordinate patient referrals and track follow-ups
  • Maintain exam room cleanliness and ensure supplies are stocked
  • Support providers and front office team with patient communication and scheduling as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting (primary care or integrative medicine preferred)
  • Proficiency in taking vitals, phlebotomy, and EHR documentation
  • Knowledge of prescription authorizations and referral processes
  • Current MA certification or diploma required
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • A compassionate, professional demeanor with attention to detail
  • Knowledge with Tebra/Kareo EHR a plus

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday–Friday (no weekends or holidays)

Compensation:

$18.50-$21.50/hour, depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
