Position: Maintenance Director

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Shift: Full-Time

Salary: Up to $85,000 per year (based on experience)

About the Role:

Acclaim Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking a hands-on and experienced Maintenance Director to lead our maintenance department. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in a variety of maintenance disciplines, a solid understanding of regulatory compliance, and the ability to lead a team while ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily maintenance operations, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, generators, and facility upkeep
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure safety and performance
  • Develop staff schedules and manage the maintenance team
  • Maintain accurate records for repairs, warranties, inspections, and preventive maintenance
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, labor laws, and safety regulations
  • Coordinate repairs, updates, and equipment installations
  • Collaborate with administration and other departments to maintain a clean and safe facility
  • Participate in all facility communication channels including WhatsApp group chats
Requirements:
  • Must be licensed in accordance with applicable maintenance standards and regulations
  • Must be available 24/7 for emergency maintenance issues
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance practices in a healthcare or nursing home environment
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal
  • Leadership ability with excellent planning, organization, and supervisory skills
  • Must be able to make sound decisions independently
  • Skilled in inspecting and maintaining facility infrastructure and resident rooms
  • Experience in managing maintenance supplies and budgeting
  • Willingness to explore and implement new maintenance methods and technologies
  • Must have 5 years of experience in LTC/SNF
