Job Summary

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Teachers to join our educational team at Genius Kids. The ideal candidates will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, developing engaging curriculum, and supporting the developmental needs of children across various age groups. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while working in a collaborative and supportive setting. Experience with early childhood education, classroom management, and specialized teaching techniques such as Montessori or literacy education is highly valued.

Duties

  • Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and educational goals
  • Foster a nurturing classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies
  • Assess student progress through standardized testing and ongoing evaluations
  • Incorporate diverse teaching methods including physical education, tutoring, and early intervention strategies
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support individual student needs
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments
  • Support child welfare by ensuring safety and promoting positive social interactions
  • Adapt teaching approaches for children with special needs or in daycare settings
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational best practices

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in classroom settings or childcare environments is preferred
  • CDA or higher education in Early Childhood
  • Background in early childhood education, preschool experience, or private school teaching is advantageous
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques such as Montessori is desirable
  • Experience working with students requiring special education or early intervention services is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education methods
  • Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior and foster an inclusive learning environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
