Genius Kids Silver Springs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Toddler Floater/Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, classroom management skills, and a passion for early childhood education. This position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to making a positive impact on children's lives through quality care and education.

Duties

  • Provide attentive and nurturing care to toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Assist in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Support classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and playtime
  • Collaborate with lead teachers to maintain a structured and positive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behavior with patience and effective behavior management techniques
  • Adapt activities to meet the individual needs of children, including those with disabilities or special needs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas
  • Document developmental progress and communicate effectively with parents and team members about children's growth and needs
  • Support other staff members as needed in various classroom settings or during coverage shifts

Skills

  • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific activities for toddlers
  • Classroom management skills to create a safe, organized, and engaging environment
  • First aid certification is preferred; CPR training is a plus
  • Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families
  • Childcare experience including nannying or babysitting is valuable
  • Ability to handle behavior management with patience and professionalism
  • Knowledge of infant care, toddler care, and early childhood teaching practices
  • Compassionate caregiving approach with a focus on nurturing young learners
