The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Accountant / HR Specialist to join our back-office team. This role blends core accounting responsibilities with HR and operations support. You'll own payroll and timesheet management, support onboarding and benefits administration, and help establish scalable back-office processes as ATP grows.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and communicates well with both internal teams and consultants. Staffing industry experience would be a home run, but it's not required—we're most excited about someone who can think quickly, solve problems, and help ATP continue to scale.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Payroll

  • Run bi-weekly payroll for employees and consultants with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Track and reconcile consultant timesheets, partnering with onboarding and recruiting to resolve issues.
  • Manage AP/AR functions, invoicing, expenses, and reconciliations.
  • Support financial reporting and assist with month-end close.

HR & Benefits

  • Support onboarding for new hires and consultants, ensuring smooth payroll setup.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including open enrollment and vendor coordination.
  • Serve as a point of contact for payroll and benefits questions.

Process & Growth

  • Help design and implement scalable back-office processes, including payroll automation.
  • Document workflows and identify opportunities for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with leadership, sales, and recruiting to ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in accounting, payroll, or HR administration.
  • Strong understanding of payroll, timesheet management, and accounting fundamentals.
  • HR/benefits administration experience preferred.
  • Staffing or professional services industry experience a plus.
  • Proficiency with payroll/accounting software and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communicator who can build trust with both internal teams and consultants.
  • Process-minded with an interest in automation and scalability.
