Payroll Specialist

Veritas Accounting is a full-service accounting firm, providing professional services tailored to the unique needs of each client. Our services run the gamut from day-to-day accounting and payroll to more specialized and unique services such as process improvement, fraud investigation and review.
We are looking to add a Payroll Extraordinaire to our growing team. Experience in processing full cycle payroll for multiple clients is a plus. Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage quarterly and yearly filings.
- Update and maintain new hire documents, benefit elections, and rates while providing compliance oversight.
- Processes and audits payrolls in multiple software platforms with emphasis on accuracy in a fast paced, production environment.
- Provides direct support to clients and client employees including issue resolution and fulfillment of general service requests.
- Audits weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for clients businesses of varying sizes with diverse needs.
- Compiles payroll statistics for cash flow purposes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 4 years experience in full cycle payroll processing.
- QuickBooks, Sage, Foundation software experience a plus.
- Understanding of payroll and wage & hour laws.
- Well-versed in time accrual methods and calculations.
- Strong customer service background.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple activities while meeting deadlines.
