Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automotive or marine parts management (3+ years preferred).
- Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee parts department operations and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experience with inventory management software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for customer interactions via phone, email, and in-person.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate inventory and financial records.
- Positive, upbeat personality with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Knowledge of marine parts, accessories, and boating industry trends is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy boxes up to 50 lbs as needed.
Duties of Parts Manager:
- Oversee all parts department operations, including inventory management, ordering, and sourcing of marine parts and accessories.
- Supervise and train parts department staff to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
- Manage customer inquiries and sales, including walk-ins, phone calls, and email correspondence, ensuring a seamless and professional experience.
- Coordinate with service technicians to fulfill parts needs for repairs and maintenance efficiently.
- Receive, inspect, and process inventory, ensuring accurate entry of purchase orders and invoices into the dealership's system.
- Maintain organized and accurate records for all parts transactions, including end-of-day cash and point-of-sale duties.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to secure competitive pricing and timely delivery of parts.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, and implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover.
- Collaborate with the service and sales teams to support overall dealership goals and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in creating and implementing department policies to improve efficiency and profitability.
Position Details:
- Full-Time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (some flexibility may be required).
- Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.
