Responsibilities

  • Assist consumers with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, etc.
  • Monitor consumer health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams or supervisors.
  • Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans, ensuring safety and accuracy at all times.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences, maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.
  • Support consumers during community outings or activities to promote social engagement and community integration.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, medication administration, and incident reports in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Conduct regular cleaning of personal spaces and common areas to ensure a safe, hygienic environment.
  • Uphold all safety protocols related to assisted living, home health services, long-term care facilities, or group homes to ensure resident safety at all times.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in assisted living environments is preferred but NOT required.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information.
  • Hands-on experience with medication administration, meal preparation for special diets, and use of mobility aids demonstrates readiness for this role (not required as we offer L1MA training).
  • Strong background in caregiving within home & community care settings or long-term care environments reflects your commitment to compassionate support.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED or currently enrolled in a GED program)
  • Background Check through the Family Care Safety Registry
  • Work Authorization (E-Verify)
  • 2 Valid forms of Identification

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
