Summary
The role is responsible for directing the operations of aligned business areas within the system service line structures. The role is a key leadership role in coordinating and overseeing operations in multiple environments of care. The role reports to the VP/CAO, System Service Line operations.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Communication: Collaborates with stakeholders internal and external to the system service lines structures for growth and operational efficiency of the system service lines. Manages communications up, down, and across service lines care environments. Builds relationships with providers, nursing, and care teams to foster optimal service line outcomes.
- Talent Management: Effectively recruits and retains talent for continuous support of the aligned system service line business areas. Fosters a team-based environment that collaborates across multiple disciplines to focus on continuous improvement and engagement. Monitors and recognizes performance of team members and supports people in professional development. Engages with team members to answer day to day operational questions and guidance.
- Operational Efficiency: Directs the day to day operations of the aligned system service line business area. Devices and implements optimal functional and organizational structure to ensure efficient operations. Collaborates with leadership, providers, and stakeholders to develop, implement and monitor standardized processes and systems to achieve financial, quality, and experience imperatives. Collaborates with senior leadership in execution of strategy within operational system service lines. Manages and directs regulatory programs as aligned.
- Patient Experience and Quality: Collaborates with subject matter experts and leadership to ensure compliance with quality and all regulatory and reporting requirements. Collaborates with clinical and administrative leadership to promote continuous quality improvement in operations. Focuses in on creating results for optimal patient care services and patient experience.
- Finance and Regulatory: Collaborates with leadership to achieve or exceed expected financial performance. Partners with financial subject matter experts in budget formulation and variance analysis. Monitors operations to ensure compliance with budget expectations and financial improvement initiatives. Manages federal grant programs and regulatory requirements to ensure operations and reporting requirements are achieved. Collaborates with subject matter experts to ensure maximum reimbursement is received within regulatory guidelines. Implements policies and procedures to ensure full documentation and revenue capture for patient services performed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field required.
- 3+ years of progressive managerial and leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4-6 years of progressive managerial and leadership experience preferred.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing operational performance.
- Demonstrated success developing and retaining highly engaged, high performing teams and aligning talent to meet operational objectives.
- Strong operational leadership and performance improvement skills.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
Strong collaboration skills and abilities in partnering with multidisciplinary operational teams and shared services subject matter expertise.

Physical Requirements

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
