Job Summary:Coordinates the scheduling of patient procedures/diagnostics for assigned area or function.Job Description:

Schedules appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.

Communicates with medical and clinical staff to ensure availability of facilities and staff and intake preauthorization's at time of scheduling.

Communicates with patients and/or their families, as permissible, to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointments.

Intakes demographics, insurance information, and pre-authorizations as necessary for all scheduled encounters.
