The Assistant Director provides oversight to all aspects of the LTSR in conjunction with or absence of the Director. The Assistant Director has strong organizational and leadership skills, and is an effective communicator. The Assistant Director is someone who is able to motivate staff and residents while being aware of and responsive to their needs and concerns. A faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. Detail work is a major focus of the job, and those details need to be handled quickly, correctly, and efficiently. In general, this is a position where guidelines, structure, and established policies must be followed fairly closely, while working with and for others. In conjunction with, or the absence of the Director the Assist Director will:
- Direct the day to day activities and operations of Edgewood Long Term Structured Residence
- Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements that govern the facility including, but not limited to: Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Code, Title 55, Chapter 5320 – Requirements for Long Term Structured Residence Licensure
- Provide supervision of the clinical and support staff
- Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all residents
- Responsible for the overall care and clinical treatment of all resident
- Direct the treatment team to enhance the quality of resident's lives, focusing on: effective mental health treatment; the elimination of the negative impact of the individual's social determinants of health; and safely reintegrating individuals back to the community
- Provide clinical supervision to clinical treatment staff and reviews documentation routinely
- Provide oversight and supervision to all direct care and nursing staff, and reviews documentation routinely
- Deliver case management, individual and group counseling to residents as outlined in the daily treatment schedule
- Coordinate and participates in discharge planning and complex case review meetings
- Develop, implement, and participate in all non-clinical programming
- Complete all necessary paperwork, treatment plans, discharge plans, daily notes, initial & continued stay authorizations and other clerical or administrative paperwork
- Monitor all residences for safety, cleanliness and resident activity
- Monitor the facility to ensure it is safe, orderly, comfortable and well maintained
- Coordinate staff training opportunities, and keeps detailed records of training compliance
- Participate in Fiscal management and budgeting for the facility as needed
- Assistant Director will work some scheduled evenings and weekends
- Participate in the on call rotation and is responsible for responding to crisis situations
- This position will report to the Director, Edgewood LTSR
- Perform other related duties as may be required or requested by the Executive Director and/or his designee
REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in social science such as counseling, social work, psychology, nursing or rehabilitation. Licensed preferred.
At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to work as a leader in a multi-disciplinary team service area.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of revenue generation activity and productivity demands.
Ability to triage situations to ensure the least impact on service delivery.
Knowledge and experience in working with mental health professionals and workers in various roles within the organization to ensure work flow efficiency in service delivery.
Knowledge of Lawrence County regulations; Pennsylvania's Department of Human Services' regulations and all federal regulations from the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Demonstrates computer literacy and competency.
Act 33, 34 and FBI Clearances.

Pay: $50, $55,000.00 per year
