  • Experience developing software applications in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, C++, Java).
  • Experience in a technical leadership role, guiding project teams from design to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting scalable, reliable, distributed systems.
  • Experience working in the networking domain or on infrastructure for a large-scale enterprise.
  • Experience leading engineering projects with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with large-scale data analysis, statistical modeling, or machine learning.
  • Excellent skills in software architecture, algorithm design, and problem-solving.

As a Software Engineer Lead in the Network Demand organization, you'll provide technical leadership across forecasting, platform, and demand generation teams, envisioning and driving systems for Google's future growth. In this role, you will guide projects, influence stakeholders, and solve problems in distributed systems and data analysis.

You will take on projects critical to Google Cloud, anticipating customer needs. As part of the Technical Infrastructure team, you will help develop and maintain the data centers and next-generation platforms that power all of Google's products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive the technical strategy and architectural direction for critical systems across network forecasting, platform engineering, and demand generation.
  • Lead cross-functional projects from initial design through to launch, ensuring technical excellence and on-time delivery.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of high-quality software development and innovation.
  • Collaborate with product managers, program managers, and other engineering teams to define requirements and influence the technical roadmap .
  • Solve problems related to distributed systems, data processing, and statistical modeling.
