Position Overview

Sonrise Christian Preschool is seeking an experienced, academically minded, nurturing Two-Year-Old Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood development, a love for teaching young children, and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and structured classroom environment that promotes learning through play, exploration, and hands-on activities.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons that foster cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical growth.

· Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and cooperation.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.

· Communicate effectively and professionally with parents, coworkers, and administration.

· Observe and document each child's progress and development.

· Ensure safety and supervision of all children at all times.

· Follow all preschool and licensing regulations, policies, and procedures.

· Collaborate with team members to support school-wide goals and events.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 3-5 years of classroom experience working with two-year-old's in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.

· Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmentally appropriate practices.

· CDA (Child Development Associate Credential), Associate's, or higher degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.

· Must be First Aid and CPR certified (or willing to obtain before start date).

· Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.

· Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for children.

· Must meet all state and local licensing requirements.

· Must have a personal relationship with the Lord and the ability to teach biblical principles in age-appropriate ways.

Compensation

Pay will be based on experience and qualifications.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
