Job Overview

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our construction projects by providing accurate and competitive cost estimates. Your expertise in construction estimating will drive project success from the initial stages through to completion. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that all estimates reflect the true scope of work while adhering to budgetary constraints. Your ability to negotiate effectively and control costs will be key in delivering exceptional results.

What you'll do

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to analyze project specifications and requirements.
  • Utilize software tools for efficient estimating processes.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of contracts and pricing strategies to optimize profitability.
  • Engage in negotiations with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
  • Monitor construction site activities to gather insights that inform accurate estimating practices.
  • Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to maintain budget integrity.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimators, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Basic qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles.

Preferred qualifications

  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
  • Experience in cost control practices within the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
