Role Overview:

Johnson Controls, a world leader in sustainable building technologies, is looking for an experienced Technology Director to join our Virginia Beach team. This key leadership position will focus on overseeing technology strategies, managing large-scale projects, and leading a talented team to implement cutting-edge solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and contribute to long-term company growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers, IT professionals, and technology experts in Virginia Beach, ensuring successful delivery of technology solutions that align with the company's business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure that technology strategies and initiatives are in line with the overall company vision and future growth.
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Keep up with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating innovative solutions to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the technology team.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities to help team members grow professionally.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure the seamless implementation and integration of technology solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least 10 years of experience in senior technology leadership roles, ideally within IT, building systems, or a related industry.
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex technology projects successfully.
  • Expertise in cloud technologies, enterprise systems, and IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and engage senior management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading and developing diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with hybrid work environments and proficiency with remote collaboration tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning abilities.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $150,000 – $160,000 annually
  • Annual Bonus: Typically 10-20% of base salary
