We're seeking a hands-on, results-driven Production Supervisor for our defense industry client, to lead daily operations in multiple production areas, including welding, fabrication, assembly, and paint. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled manufacturing leader to drive operational excellence, foster teamwork, and ensure a strong culture of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of production employees across multiple departments.

  • Ensure production goals are met for safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

  • Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing PPE use, leading safety talks, and driving proactive safety practices.

  • Monitor product quality, identify non-conformances, and lead corrective actions.

  • Participate in scheduling, labor planning, performance management, hiring, and training.

  • Lead 5S and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Track and analyze production KPIs, and support root cause investigations for downtime or rework.

  • Organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while upholding high standards.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role (background in welding, fabrication, or assembly preferred).

  • Proven ability to supervise hourly or skilled trade employees.

  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and standard work practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Vantage Clear or equivalent security clearance required.
